Mbps to MB/s Converter
Convert network speed from megabits to megabytes per second. Free, fast and easy to use.
How it works
Internet speeds are quoted in megabits per second (Mbps), while file sizes use megabytes (MB). One byte has 8 bits, so divide Mbps by 8 to get MB/s — a 100 Mbps connection downloads at most 12.5 MB/s.
Formula
MB/s = Mbps / 8
Worked examples
- 300 Mbps = 37.5 MB/s
- 1000 Mbps = 125 MB/s
