How it works
Select the units and type a pressure. The SI unit is the pascal (1 N/m²); 1 bar is 100,000 Pa, roughly the air pressure at sea level. Tyre pressure is usually given in bar or psi, weather in hectopascals and blood pressure in mmHg.
Worked examples
- 2.2 bar = 31.908302 psi
- 1 atm = 1,013.25 hPa
- 120 mmHg = 15.998686 kPa

Frequently asked questions
How many psi is 1 bar?
1 bar is about 14.504 psi, so a tyre pressure of 2.2 bar is about 32 psi.
Is 1 hPa the same as 1 mbar?
Yes. One hectopascal is exactly one millibar, which is why weather maps use both.
